Everyone has a day when they find something new or discover one trick that produces, then after a short time the magic is gone. This has happened to me frequently in my ceramic studio, because in a moment I'd alter a glaze recipe and what I've done at that time is so obvious that I wouldn't have thought I could forget it.
As in having a brilliant glaze but forgetting to write the firing schedule or the glaze recipe down. Thinking all the time that there is no way in a million years forget how it's done.
